I have found two Shareware/Freeware programs to be absolutely essential for designing high power and model rockets.

These programs are downloadable from several sources on the Web, but for your convenience, I have placed .zip files on this page. You can download from this page by clicking on the program names below.

VCP Calculator

VCP is a great program for finding C/P (center of pressure) on your scratch-built designs. The program includes a large library of kit designs and scale data from "Rockets of the World".

wRasp is a launch simulation program for accurately estimating rocket performance with any combination of motors.
It can calculate single-motors, clusters, air-starts and multi staging.
The extensive library contains nearly every certified rocket motor available along with nearly every rocket kit.
It is a simple matter to add your own custom configurations to the library database.
